Below we have summarised the main guidelines as they relate to families and staff of Springboard
What are the symptoms of Coronavirus?
COVID-19 symptoms are defined as:
- A high temperature (fever) and/or
- A new continuous cough (3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours) and/or
- A change to your sense of smell or taste
What do I do if I or a member of my household has Coronavirus symptoms?
- Remain at home
- You will be eligible for a coronavirus test (see below for details of how to get a test)
- You MUST inform Springboard (even in the Christmas break) using the dedicated email address covid.springboard@gmail.com. We will need to know the following:
- Date of onset of COVID-19 symptoms (including what symptoms they/you had)
- Date of the Covid-19 test (if taken)
- Date of the Covid -19 test result (and evidence of the result/ID number if taken)
- All other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days or until the test returns a negative result
How do I get a Coronavirus test?
You can arrange a test by either:
- Requesting one online using the link http://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or;
- By Calling 119
What do I do if a member of my house hold tests positive for Coronavirus?
- Remain at home & follow the guidance given by professionals
- you MUST inform Springboard (even in the Christmas break) using the dedicated email address covid.springboard@gmail.com. We will need to know the following:
- Date of onset of COVID-19 symptoms (including what symptoms they/you had)
- Date of the Covid-19 test
- Date of the result (and evidence of the result/ID number)
- All other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 10 days.
What will happen if there is a confirmed case of coronavirus at Springboard?
in the event that we have a confirmed case of COVID-19 within Springboard (of a staff member, child or visiting professional):
- We will work with Public Health England and follow the guidance they give.
- We will contact you directly with further instructions.
- We may close the Centre temporarily for 24 to 48 hours in order to arrange for a deep clean and to to ensure everything is in place for a safe reopening.

I am planning to travel overseas, do I need to let Springboard know?
We request that all families travelling abroad please let us know in advance of departure on the email address covid.springboard@gmail.com. Please let us know the following:
- Name
- Date of departure
- Date of return
- Location of travel
