About the workshop:

Beyond Words : A workshop where you learn how every child can become a communicator

This workshop will develop your understanding of objects, visuals and symbols and how these can be used to support children’s communication and language development. The workshop combines various teaching approaches to embed the knowledge and skills to use different communication strategies.

The objectives of this workshop are:

• You will learn the function of symbols and how they can support communication ​
• You will understand how to use Visuals to support children’s understanding  ​
• You will understand how to support children to use pictures and symbols to express themselves
• This is a face to face workshop delivered at Springboard.

Trainers:   Sarah Martin and Simara Kiely

Sarah and Simara are trained in a wide range of communication methods for developing children’s functional communication skills. They are experienced in supporting young children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Tickets:

Tickets for the workshop must be bought in advance.

Tickets cost £23 + booking fee per person

A ticket must be purchased for EVERY person attending the workshop in your party
