About the workshop:

This workshop will give you a practical hands–on introduction to how visual systems help young children learn routines and how to use these to develop children’s functional communication skills

The aims of this workshop are to :

• Discuss the function of symbols & how they support communication
• Understand how to use Visual Timetables & Picture Cards in different settings.
• Demonstrate the implementation of visual strategies to support functional communication
• Describe how TEACCH is used as a teaching tool in a setting environment.

This is a face to face workshop delivered at Springboard.

Facilitators:  Simara Kiely and Sarah Martin

Sarah and Simara have been trained in a wide range of communication methods for developing children’s functional communication skills. They are experienced in supporting young children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Tickets for the workshop must be bought in advance.

Tickets cost £21 + booking fee per person

A ticket must be purchased for EVERY person attending the workshop in your party
